Joel's Law: Understanding Involuntary Commitment and How Best to Help Your Loved Ones. 

NAMI Seattle’s quarterly Speaker Series events are intended to address topics of concern in the mental health community. This presentation will offer more information about the realities of involuntary commitment, as well as provide an opportunity to ask panelists questions about the process.

  • Diane Swanberg, Coordinator, King County Crisis & Commitment
  • Katey Bean, NAMI Seattle support group facilitator and parent
  • Facilitator: Amina Mohamud, NAMI Seattle Helpline Coordinator
